Jupiter is the largest of all of the planets in orbit around the Sun and in astrology symbolizes the extended influence of the power of the Sun. Jupiter is also the human link with the astral world of the gods and the instrument for understanding this greater realm. In polytheistic religions (worshipping or a belief in more than one god) it is more often than not the sun god, the heavenly god and /or the thunder god that is leader of the gods.
